What are the grant eligibility requirements?

We help learners that demonstrate the initiative and drive to complete an educational pursuit, AND need financial help to fund this endeavor. We are particularly interested in funding learners from traditionally underserved or disadvantaged backgrounds.

If you need money for college, you must have been accepted into or be currently enrolled in a 2 year, 4 year or postgraduate program.

For other educational activities, such as a certification or vocational program, you will need to provide proof of enrollment.

In all cases, you need to be able to demonstrate financial need.

What can I use the grant funds for?

We consider funding various educational activities that are designed to help you improve your situation in work and life. Here are some examples:

Tuition, Books and Supplies for:

2 or 4 year undergraduate college degree (Associates, Bachelors)

Postgraduate degree (Masters, PhD, JD, MBA, etc)

Certificate Program (a program designed to develop or strengthen specific career skills), such as Business, Social Media Marketing, Computer Science, Data Science, Salesforce, Hospitality, etc.

Certification (for professionals who need to verify their professional knowledge an skills with an official credential, such as passing an exam or meeting industry standards proving their expertise), such as Pharmacy Technician, Medical Billing, Auto Service, Project Management, Human Resources, Cloud Computing, Help Desk, etc.

Vocational Program, such as Dental Hygienist, Occupational Therapist, Paralegal, Veterinary Technician, etc.

Non-credit classes

Internships and Apprenticeships

Seminars, Workshops, On-line Courses, Continuing Education Programs

How much is the typical grant?

Grants are typically $500-$1000 per year.

How long can I receive the grant?

Currently grants are made for one year. However you may request to be considered for grants in subsequent years without completing a new application. Simply contact us at eaaef158@eaaefoundation.org.

What documentation is required to show financial need?

Please include the reason you need financial assistance in your application statement. We will follow up with you directly for more information.

Do I have to get recommendations?

Recommendations are optional but highly recommended.

How is the money disbursed?

If you are selected to receive a grant, we will contact you directly to disburse the funds. If you have financial due dates or deadlines we should be aware of, be sure to note this in your application.
